Daniel Grollo, Chief Executive of Grocon, and Siobhan Toohill, General Manager – Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability of Stockland, have been appointed Deputy Chairs to the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA).

The GBCA has certified three buildings at the GippsTAFE Chadstone Campus Development in Victoria with a 5 Star Green Star – Education Design v1 rating – the 400th project to achieve a Green Star environmental rating since the GBCA launched the system in 2003.

GBCA Chief Executive Romilly Madew said “We certified our first project in 2004, and since then Green Star has achieved exponential growth.

“Today, more than 18 per cent of Australia’s central business district office space is Green Star-certified, and a wide range of building types from schools and hospitals to industrial facilities and shopping centres have achieved Green Star ratings.”
